Wash Yourself
Wash yourself including your hair the evening before or the morning of surgery. Do not use any styling products or sprays. Please reference the bathing directions provided to you and use Hibiclens /CHG.

Take only approved and required medicine as directed.

Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before your treatment and caffeine on the day of your treatment.

Follow Wound Cleaning Directions
Follow post-care wound cleaning directions. Use diluted hydrogen peroxide 50/50 water mix, apply the mixture with a Q-tip or clean gauze pad to incision 2 times a day.

Sleep Elevated
Sleep on your back elevated for 2 weeks, at a 30° incline, with approximately 3 pillows.
Use Cold compress made of Frozen Peas
For the first 48 hours, use cold compresses made of frozen peas to minimize swelling and help with discomfort.

Stay hydrated and eat a healthy well balanced diet.

Do not swim, use hot tubs, or saunas for 4 weeks.

Expose Your Incisions to Pressure
Do not expose your incisions to excessive pressure or motion.

Make Excessive Facial Movements
Do not make excessive facial movements such as wide mouth laughing and excessive chewing for at least two weeks. This will optimize the healing process.

Wear Makeup
Do not wear makeup. Between days 10 and 14, most patients can return to makeup, avoiding the incision areas. Do make sure to thoroughly clean makeup brushes and sponges thoroughly before using them.

Scrub Your Scalp
Do not scrub your scalp. Instead, wash your hair strands using your fingertips, do this carefully and gently. Do not cause motion and movement on the scalp, ears, and incision sites. If ointment accumulates in your hair, it can be easily removed using Dawn dishwashing liquid, but not until wounds are mostly healed, about day 8 or 10.

Wash Your Hair or let water hit wounds
Do not wash your hair until day 3 after surgery. On day 3, use baby shampoo. Do not let water directly hit the wounds or incision sites. Instead, let the water run down and across wounds.

Perform Strenuous Physical Activity
Do not perform strenuous physical activity, including athletic activities, intercourse, aerobic exercise, weight training, heavy lifting, and any straining. You may gradually resume exercise 4 weeks after surgery; light walking is okay and recommended. Listen to your body; if it hurts the treated area- Stop.
