The Esthetics Center Cleansing Facial is where all of our facials begin. This basic but indulgent treatment includes a light massage, mild exfoliation, extractions, and a customized mask to promote a healthy skin tone. Suitable for all skin types and patients of all ages.
If you're wondering whether your skin would benefit from microdermabrasion or a chemical peel, the answer may be both! With the TEC Ultimate Facial, in addition to performing the basics such as cleansing and massage, your esthetician will create a customized rejuvenating treatment using 1-2 modalities such as microdermabrasion, chemical peel, LED or Gua Sha stones to brighten and smooth skin texture, soften surface lines and minimize pores and breakouts. This facial is a perfect combination of physical exfoliation and chemical exfoliation to slough off dead skin cells and increase cellular turnover.
Interested in taking your skincare up a notch? The TEC Radiance Facial includes all of the basics PLUS a personalized treatment with 3-4 modalities to resurface, repair, and refine your skin. Options include microdermabrasion, customized peel, LED, Gua Sha stones, or professional masks to enhance cellular function and improve vitality. This luxurious facial finishes with growth factor serums and retinol to stimulate collagen & elastin. Following this treatment, your skin will be radiant!
Patients who are interested in serious skin rejuvenation will love the TEC Advanced Peel Facial. This treatment addresses deeper signs of sun damage and advanced anti-aging concerns to tighten, lighten, and brighten. Of course, this ultimate treatment begins with all of our signature facial basics, including a relaxing massage and extractions if needed. In addition to the customized peel, we conclude with a professional retinol treatment to jumpstart cellular renewal. Post-treatment peeling may last 3-7+ days, so plan ahead. The results will be worth it and include decreased wrinkle depth, diminished dark spots, and an unmatched dewy glow.
A chemical peel is an agent used to resurface the skin. Specific chemical mixtures are applied to the face to break down surface layers of the skin and clear the way for new, undamaged skin. Peels include naturally-derived chemicals known as Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) and Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA). AHAs are chemicals that promote exfoliation and cell turnover. They are found in foods such as citrus fruits (citric acid), sugar cane (glycolic acid), milk (lactic acid), apples (malic acid), and grapes (tartaric acid). Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) is otherwise known as salicylic acid and can be derived from Willowbark. Its primary benefit in skincare is to dissolve oils and unclog pores, which makes it great for acne patients. Overall, chemical peels reveal smoother, blemish-free skin, which is why they're so beneficial.
In the days following a peel, the skin may begin flaking or even peeling in larger sheets. Darker spots from sun damage may appear darker before flaking off. Once the peeling process subsides, your skin will appear smoother and more radiant. The degree of peeling and improvement varies by person and type of peel utilized. Not everyone will peel the same, and not everyone will peel. An absence of peeling does not indicate an unsuccessful treatment. Frequent use of exfoliating products and treatments can also cause variances in peeling.
Microdermabrasion is one of the least invasive ways to renew the skin and improve overall tone and texture. It is excellent for treating sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, melasma and sunspots, stretch marks, and acne scars. The procedure can be done in a couple of different ways, but the basic idea is to gently exfoliate the skin's outer layer to reveal the new, rejuvenated skin beneath. Mild redness or swelling can be present for a few hours following a microdermabrasion treatment, but it is considered safe for most skin types and conditions.
Your skin deserves to be in the spotlight! Light-emitting diode (LED) therapy uses different frequencies of light to treat a variety of skin concerns. Specific benefits come with each wavelength of light (color), which can be used to treat all types of skin woes, including acne, scarring, and wrinkles. Red light decreases skin inflammation, smooths skin tone, and builds collagen and elastin, while blue light is primarily used to minimize breakouts, diminish acne bacteria and reduce oil production. Unlike other types of light therapy, LED lights do not include UV rays, making them safe for common use.
Growth factors are proteins that act as communicators between your cells and help facilitate tissue growth and repair. Those that are specific to the skin are known as epidermal growth factors (EGFs), and they are responsible for stimulating collagen and elastin and increasing blood flow, all of which help our skin to appear firm and youthful. Growth factors also help reduce inflammation and improve the healing process. We recommend growth factors to help patients prepare for and recover from procedures like chemical peels, laser resurfacing, and even facelifts.
