WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a specialized procedure that is used to implant artificial pigment underneath the patient’s skin. It is most often used for those that are looking to fill out thinner eyebrows, or replace their eyebrows entirely with semi-permanent ink eyebrows.

The procedure is done by a specially-trained medical esthetician with a specific handheld tool that is used only for microblading. Since the procedure is so precise and technical, the results very realistic and authentic-looking. In short, microblading can be a fantastic alternative for those that are looking for fuller eyebrows, or a semi-permanent eyebrow alternative.

WHO IS A MICROBLADING CANDIDATE?

Microblading is closely related to tattooing, so it is important that your skin is healthy and free of serious allergic conditions or muscular problems to ensure that your procedure is successful and that you are happy with your results.

WHAT DOES THE MICROBLADING PROCEDURE ENTAIL?

The procedure will be done by one of our cosmetic nurses that has been specially-trained for microblading—because it is similar to tattooing, the procedure requires special training to ensure that it is properly done.

The length of the procedure will largely depend on how much microblading you want and how large the area is. That aside, you can expect it to last no more than one hour.

During that time, your nurse will fill or “draw” your eyebrows in with the microblade tool, all of which is done precisely by hand. The tool implants, or fills, ink beneath your skin following the stroke of the nurse’s hand. The results are very real and life-like marks which resemble that of a hair follicle.

WHAT IS THE MICROBLADING RECOVERY PERIOD?

The recovery period and side effects of the procedure are like that of a normal tattoo, with mild amounts of redness and slight swelling. Again, the degree of redness and/or swelling will depend on the extent of your procedure. Side effects of the procedure are usually healed in approximately one week.

MICROBLADING RESULTS:

You will notice an instant difference after the procedure is done. Since the process of microblading imbeds ink beneath your skin, you will notice bold and dramatic results right away. As the ink settles into your skin and things begin to heal, the initial darkness will subside and leave you with a much more natural color and look. Some fading can occur over the course of time, and it is usually recommended that patients receive touch-ups as needed.
