Surgery day, wear loose-fitting clothes that fasten at the front. No slipover clothing.

Wash yourself including your hair the evening before or the morning of surgery. Do not use any styling products or sprays. Please reference the bathing directions provided to you and use Hibiclens /CHG.

Wear your Face Garment
Wear your face garment for 7 days, all day, every day, except for when following wound cleaning directions. After day 7 you may have intermittent breaks up to 90 minutes, 2 times a day, just long enough to follow wound cleaning directions and wash the garment. After 14 days, IF you are returning to work, you can take off your garment for 6 to 8 hours. After 21 days, it is only needed to wear at night.
Use Cold compress made of Frozen Peas
For the first 48 hours, use cold compresses made of frozen peas to minimize swelling and help with discomfort.

Stay hydrated and eat a healthy well balanced diet.

Perform Strenuous Physical Activity
Do not perform strenuous physical activity, including athletic activities, intercourse, aerobic exercise, weight training, heavy lifting, and any straining. You may gradually resume exercise 4 weeks after surgery; light walking is okay and recommended. Listen to your body; if it hurts the treated area- Stop.
