Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before your treatment and caffeine on the day of your treatment.

Avoid Anti-Inflammatory Medication
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, or supplements which may thin your blood (i.e. vitamin e, fish oil, St. John’s Wort, etc.) for 7 days before treatment. These agents may increase the risk of bruising and bleeding. Tylenol is ok.

Keep your lips clean and moisturized for the first 7 days. Allow your lips to dry out completely in between applications of blam.

Take your antivirals for at least 3 days after treatment if you have a history of cold sores.

Get Skin Treatments
Do not have laser and/or chemical treatments or peels and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck, or receive lip fillers for 6 weeks.
DO NOT
Sweat
Do not participate in sports, perform strenuous exercise, swim, use sauna, hot baths, Jacuzzi, or anything else that can increase sweating for 7 to 10 days.
DO NOT
touch your lips for 24 hours
Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or make-up touch your lips for 24 hours after your treatment.

Wear Makeup
Do not wear makeup for 7 days.

Go Tanning
Avoid sun tanning, salon tanning, artificial tans, or UV/UVA/UVB rays.

Do not consume alcohol for at least the next 24 hours.
