Bellafill - The Only 5 Year Filler

Are you looking for a way to restore natural-looking volume?

Many signs of aging such as sagging skin, deep folds around the mouth and nose as well as volume loss can all be improved with injectable dermal fillers.  They have a smoothing and plumping effect which restores a youthful facial appearance and improves facial symmetry.

There are different types of dermal fillers used today. One commonly used filler is hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies.  While these fillers are soft and natural-looking, the downside is that results are temporary, lasting 6 - 24 months depending on the type of filler and where it is injected. The body gradually metabolizes the particles and repeating the injection process is required to maintain the volumized appearance.

Bellafill - The Only 5 Year Filler

If you are a fan of filler, we have great news for you! There is another filler available that offers a much longer duration. Bellafill® is a dermal filler that replaces lost volume in the skin for correction that is both immediate and longer-lasting than other types of fillers. Unlike temporary fillers, Bellafill is the only dermal filler that stimulates collagen growth long term to help maintain your youthful appearance for up to 5 years. This means you won't need to see your injector every six to nine months for touch-ups as you do with other HA fillers (who doesn’t love to save time & money?) It is also the only dermal filler FDA approved to be safe and effective for up to five years, with an 90% patient satisfaction rate. In our practice, we have observed many patients who are still satisfied with their Bellafill results well over 7 years after their initial treatment. People wanting to try Bellafill are REQUIRED to have an allergy test about a month beforehand to make sure sure you don’t have a bad reaction to bovine collagen.

A Look At Bellafill® Injections

Bellafill is comprised of a collagen gel base containing microspheres of a substance known as PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate). The PMMA microspheres provide a “scaffold” that supports your skin’s structure and your body’s own natural collagen production. The PMMA is a synthetic, yet biocompatible substance commonly used in other areas of medicine for many decades. Once injected, there is an immediate reduction in the depth of smile lines, acne scars or hollowed temples.  Acne scars are diminished by adding volume and bringing the sunken scar tissue to the level of the surrounding skin. Full results can be observed after about 3 months when new collagen production has peaked.

What Is The Recovery Period?

There isn’t any real downtime with Bellafill injections; however, you may experience some temporary swelling, redness, pain, bruising, lumps or bumps, itching, and discoloration at the treatment site. Keep in mind that these symptoms are usually temporary, resolving within 1 to 7 days.  You should also avoid vigorous exercise for 24-48 hours and keep the area exceptionally clean.
