Revanesse Versa Hyaluronic Acid dermal filler is used to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles, including nasolabial folds, lips, and marionette lines. Our patients especially love Revanesse Versa for adding structure and volume to their lips. It has one of the densest concentrations of HA molecules of any dermal filler on the market and comes with 20% more volume per syringe than others.
Revanesse Versa is a product with a faithful cult-like following. Versa has the highest concentration of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) of all HA fillers. It is an incredible volume-adding filler that creates beautiful results in soft tissue such as the lips, tear troughs, smile lines, and marionette lines. HA is a naturally occurring substance in the skin, but unfortunately, it diminishes with age. When we inject HA dermal filler into the face, it attracts water, resulting in smooth, plump, contoured skin.
Revanesse Versa is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that can treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds in the soft tissue, including nasolabial folds, lips, marionette lines, and tear troughs.
When you arrive at Esthetics Center for a dermal filler appointment, you will meet with Dr. Rice or one of our skilled nurses, who will discuss your goals and concerns at length. We will also assess your medical history during this consultation to help choose the appropriate treatment and product. Before beginning any injections or other treatments, we will take before and after pictures to track your progress towards achieving your goals. Depending on the number of areas to be treated, you will be out the door and able to resume normal activities within 45-60 minutes with just a few instructions for aftercare.
Most patients find Revanesse Versa dermal filler injections quite tolerable. We also offer topical numbing and icing if that makes the procedure more comfortable. Whenever possible, we don’t use needles but will use a blunt-tip cannula because it is safer and less traumatic to the tissue. This means less bruising, swelling, and downtime.
Just about anyone is a good candidate for dermal filler. Whether you are in your twenties and looking for a more contoured jawline or fuller lips, or a bit older and wanting to smooth and plump areas with lost volume, Revanesse Versa is an excellent product. For those patients who have tried other HA fillers and felt that it didn’t last as long as they would have wished, we also love Revanesse Versa as an alternative to Juvéderm and Restylane. It can be used in conjunction with laser and BOTOX, but you should speak to the doctor or nurse about a comprehensive treatment plan. We don’t recommend fillers for pregnant or breastfeeding women or may have any active infections or wounds in the treatment area.
The average person loses a teaspoon of facial volume for every decade over thirty. To put this into perspective, that means that a patient who comes to see us for the first time in their forties may require five to seven syringes of filler just to replenish their youthful volume. Our goal is never to make people look unnatural or overdone. As the saying goes, “The best injectable is undetectable.” We want to treat everyone to what we call “full correction” because it is not only the most natural-looking result, but the maintenance is less frequent and less expensive in the long run. A thorough and comprehensive skincare program is also key to looking your best and maintaining the longevity of your esthetic treatments.
Not only is Revanesse Versa safe, but it is also highly versatile, just as the name implies. Versa is suitable for injection in the nasolabial folds, lips, marionette lines, jawline, and other areas. The Revanesse formula is also trusted, with over 3 million syringes sold worldwide since 2012, a testament to its safety, efficacy, and high patient satisfaction. As with any medical or cosmetic procedure, the most important thing you can do is to make sure you see a licensed and trained professional who is knowledgeable about possible complications of the medication they are using. This not only ensures that you are getting high-quality products but that they will be handled correctly.
The main side effects are bruising, redness, swelling, and mild discomfort during the healing phase. The HA particles in Revanesse are smaller and more uniformly shaped than other competitive brands of dermal filler, which has been shown to cause less swelling in patients. Which is another reason we love Revanesse Versa!
The Revanesses Versa treatment is minimally-invasive, so aftercare is minimal. However, following a few simple suggestions can help minimize your downtime and discomfort. We recommend you refrain from using makeup or skincare products on the day of treatment. You should not engage in heavy exercise for 24 hours. Sleeping with your head slightly elevated will also decrease swelling.
There are also some things to avoid before your treatment to minimize discomfort and bruising. This includes stopping any food, supplement, or medication that thins your blood, including ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, flaxseed, and alcohol. You may use arnica supplements before the treatment and during the recovery phase to minimize bruising and swelling. If you are unsure if something you are taking might interfere with your treatment, please call our office, and we will be happy to assist you.
Revanesse Versa results are immediate and will look even better over time. Most patients will still notice a difference for up to 12 months with optimal correction.

Why would someone choose this product over a similar product like Juvéderm Ultra Plus? First, Versa is an excellent alternative for Juvéderm Ultra Plus non-responders. It's a fact that not every medication affects everybody in the same way. Sometimes, people with a fast metabolism can burn through dermal filler more quickly than others. We've found that Versa lasts much longer for these individuals than a product like Juvéderm Ultra Plus. Additionally, one syringe of Versa is 1.2 ml, while one syringe of Ultra Plus is 1.0 ml, and the cost is the same. Quite simply, Versa offers more volume for the same price! There are many other great reasons to choose Revanesse Versa. As we've found, this product isn't as well known as the Juvéderm family of fillers, but it is a fan favorite for those who know of it!
