OVERVIEW

You will notice some improvement approximately 4-6 weeks after your first treatment. However, the production of new collagen in your body requires time, so optimal results are achieved within 4-6 weeks of your last treatment.

Please call the office if you experience bleeding that lasts longer than 24 hours, cramping that lasts longer than 24 hours or if you have a fever that is over 101 degrees.

There are no restrictions on showering, bathing, swimming or using hot tubs (except if there is spotting or mild bleeding. In this case, wait one day).

You can resume normal physical activities and sexual activities (if no bleeding/spotting post treatment), unless otherwise directed by your treatment provider.

Expect Mild Cramping/Spotting
Mild cramping and spotting may occur and should resolve in 24 hours.

If you have been treated externally, skin may be slightly pink to red, swollen and warm to the touch for about one hour after the procedure.

Do continue to drink water. It is recommended to drink half your body weight in ounces, each day.

Wear loose-fitting clothing and loose cotton briefs for underwear the first 24 hours post-treatment.

Stay hydrated and eat a healthy well balanced diet.

You may return to normal activities 24 hours after treatment--including bathing, swimming, intercourse, and tampon usage. Some spotting may occur, contact the office with any abnormal or foul smelling discharge. Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as the following: fever, excessive redness at the site, excessive swelling, excessive tenderness of the procedure site, elevated body temperature, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart.
